Instructions for MorningStar Airtight & Vacuum Seal Containers

Proper Storage for Maximum Preservation

To ensure optimal freshness, potency, and longevity of your mushroom collection, follow these step-by-step instructions for using MorningStar’s Airtight and Vacuum Seal Containers.

General Instructions for All Containers

✔ Step 1: Ensure the Container is Clean & Dry

• Before storing your mushrooms, make sure the container is completely dry and free from any contaminants.

• If washing before first use, let it air dry thoroughly to prevent unwanted moisture buildup.

✔ Step 2: Place the Included O₂ and Moisture Absorbers Inside

• Do not open the sachets—they are designed to function as-is.

• Place the O₂ absorber and moisture absorber at the bottom of the container. These will help remove excess oxygen and humidity, extending the shelf life of your mushrooms.

✔ Step 3: Store Your Mushrooms Properly

• Only store fully dried mushrooms to prevent spoilage.

• Spread them out loosely inside the container to avoid crushing.

✔ Step 4: Seal the Container Securely

• For airtight containers: Ensure the lid is firmly closed to prevent air leaks.

• For vacuum seal containers: Use the vacuum pump (if applicable) to remove excess air, creating an oxygen-free environment.

✔ Step 5: Store in a Cool, Dark Place

• Keep the container away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or humid environments.

• The ideal storage temperature is room temperature or cooler.

✔ Step 6: Periodically Check Absorbers

• Over time, the O₂ and moisture absorbers may need replacement.

• If mushrooms feel damp or lose potency, replace the absorbers immediately.

Optional Instructions for Aroma Fusion Use

If you’d like to enhance the sensory experience of your mushrooms, you can incorporate Aroma Fusion sprays for a subtle, aromatic infusion. There are two primary methods to do this:

Method 1: Microfiber Pad Infusion (Recommended)

• Spray 5-10 times on both sides of a microfiber pad.

• Work the Aroma Fusion into the pad slightly if desired.

• Let the pad dry completely before placing it inside the container.

• Position the pad in a corner or on the side to allow for gradual scent diffusion.

✔ This method ensures a subtle, long-lasting aroma without direct contact with the mushrooms.

Method 2: Direct Light Spray on Dried Mushrooms (Use with Caution)

• Lightly mist the dried mushrooms with one or two sprays of Aroma Fusion.

• Let them dry completely before placing them back in the container.

⚠ Caution: Direct application may slightly decrease potency, so use this method sparingly.

Best Practices for Long-Term Storage

✔ Always handle mushrooms with clean, dry hands or use gloves to prevent contamination. ✔ Avoid opening the container frequently to minimize exposure to air and humidity. ✔ Label your container with the date of storage for easy tracking.

Experience Superior Mushroom Preservation

By following these simple yet effective instructions, you can maximize the shelf life, potency, and quality of your mushrooms with MorningStar’s Airtight and Vacuum Seal Containers.

🔹 Order additional O₂ and moisture absorbers as needed to maintain optimal freshness and longevity.
